Krisko's Pics from NY

Our good friend KRISKO was on her way to New York to meet with family for the Fourth of July Holiday.
On her way she said she saw a Marshmallow Field. Something like the Beatles Strawberry Field?

Here is a pic that KRISKO posted on Facebook of modern windmills.
They have these all over in California, and even one outside of Cleveland Browns Stadium...or whatever they call it now!

JULY 9, 2014 - JOHNNY J'S - Springfield

This is STORMY. She was one
of our bartenders. When I asked her if i could take a pic
she sadi that I already took one of her.
She is right, and here it is!

This was my Purple Haze
Martini. It tasted like grape
pop. Very tasty.

This is FERGIE'S Chicken
Tenders. It's a good thing that the appetizers were half-price. See last picture!

This is my Steak Salad. It was NOT half price. But it is what I wanted. Very good. But I
should have gotten the chicken.

This is the bill for the Chicken
Tenders. He did it AGAIN!
I ended up paying it.
We have to talk!

Here is DARLA. She is one of
our fave bartenders.
She was voted Employee of The Month of June 2014 at The
Galaxy. Congratulations
Darla!

This is DARLA again with
BECCA. they were our two bartenders out on The Patio
Wednesday nite.

The weather was unusally
cool for a July nite.
It was cloudy and windy with
a temperature of 70 degrees
at 4:45 PM.
It necessitated the lighting of
the Patio Heaters. This is one fo the employees who carried
out the task.

The Galaxy has Happy Hour Special. $3 for Food and Drink for 3 Hours.
One of the items iare sauerkraut balls which DRUMSTIR ordered.

And here is DRUMSTIR enjoying his delicious sauerkraut balls.

Burger. A 1/4 beef patty.
Very filling and inexpensive.
Oh yeah, also my glass of
tomato juice. Wink Wink!

This is S. B.'s signature
Martini. Naturally, it's a Dirty
Martini. IThe way the sunlight
is hitting the glass it looks like
it is luminous.

And here is S. B. taking a sip
of his luminous martini.

The Band for the nite was
Eclipse. They had a very good
sound. You can tell that they
have been around the block.

JULY 16, 2014 THE GALAXY - Patio Party - Wadsworth

Here we have LUCKY PIERRE
(Dewster) with R. B. at the
bar on Dietz's dock.

And this is why PIERRE is lucky, because here he is with
his wife UNLUCKY GAYLE.

This is a $12 Pedron cigar I
smoked in honor of my bro in
law PETER who smokes them.
Then the next day I heard that he "gave them up". D'OH!

And this is why we came to
Dietz'a Landing. This was the
band that afternoon.
They are called OVERBOARD.
But they don't.
There may be be only two of
them but with their sequencing
they sound like a 5 piece band
with background singers.

Here are a few people who
were dancing to the duo. There were acutally more people dancing to their sounds.
They do a lot of your fave line
dancing songs.

OOPS! It loos like they have
spotted the Paparaizzi. I
thought that they were goimg
to turn me in!

This is one of the bartenders
at the dock bar. I neglected to
get her name, not to take the
photo. There was an interesting crew behind the
bar on this afternoon.

No one bothers the ducks out on the Portage Lakes. They jsut waddle around begging
for scraps. And they are fed.

This is an interesting boat. We
all thought it was an original
Chris Craft. But we really weren't sure.
Anyone have an idea?

This is PHYLLIS BISHOP, wife of JACK BISHOP, the guitar player for the band along with
keyboardist CHUCK LYONS.

JULY 20, 2014 - A SUNDAY AT DIETZ'S LANDING

This is JESS. She was one of the bartenders at the Galaxy
Patio bar for Geezers Nite
Out. She was new to most of us, but FERGIE acted like she
was an old friend.
We found out that her 'stage name" is RUBY! We didn't ask!

And here is the other bartender at the Patio Bar,
BECCA. We are familiar with
her even as far back as last
year she was working this bar.

Here we have DRUMSTIR, one
of the long time Geezers with
his friend GAYLE. She lives
near DRUMSTIR, and she and
her husband, DEWSTER, are
also friends with most of
The Geezers.

This is an Old, Old friend of
most of the Geezers who we
knew from our many years
while employed at the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.
He also spent a number of years in Australia for Goodyear with his wife PAULA.

OK, in this picture, GAYLE has
moved, and BILLY BOB has

That is HE on the Left. Some of
the Geezers first met GAYLE's
friends out at Dietz's on July
20. It was then that they were
informed of The Geezers Club and website. It was then that they decided to attend the next function.

Holding true to our reputation
we brought rain with us to
The Galaxy. Normally if I would take this shot from my seat across this bar the background would be bright.
but the pouring rain shower
dimmed the picture.

Here are SPIKE, in the foreground, and S. B. in the
background trying to "lean IN" in an attempt to dodge the raindrops.

This is a picture of the sky
behind our seats looking
towards the NE. It might not
look like it in the picture, but
it was threatening that
evening.

This was my dinner for the
night that i ordered after the
rain subsided. It is called the
Shooting Star burger. It is
part of the new Galaxy Circle
L Menu of Steaks & Chops which includes burgers.

In the red shirt facing the camera is TK O'GRADY, a
DJ for radio station WONE.
He appears with his crew around
7:00 PM on Wednesdays to
warm up the crowd.

And here is TK again using the bar PA to advise the crowd
that they are going to hold a
putting contest for free tickets
to the Firestone WGC golf
tournament.

This picture is hard to explain.
Lurking in the crowd is our
Entertainment Director, R. B.
He is standing right behind
the man sitting at the bar to
the right in the foreground.
We were sitting at two sides
of the bar, and he was going back and forth talking with both groups.

Here is our fave bartender,
DARLA, who is also a favorite
of the Galaxy. She is with her
boyfriend, and they just had
attended a dinner celebrating
her Employee of The Month of
June. CONGRATS DARLA!

This is a pic of the band, DELTA DON, It is amazing that they even set up let alone played music.
An hour earlier it was pouring down rain. However, it cleared up enough to ahve the patio party go off without a hitch.
Oh, they did ahve to light the
patio heaters again.

JULY 30, 2014 - GEEZERS NITE OUT - THE GALAXY PATIO PARTY

A few of the Geezers in an unusual match up attended the
Bridgestone Firestone Golf
Tournament on Friday, August 1.
Pictrued, from L-R, are SPIKE
(Swish), TOMMY D, and JIMBO FISH. I (JOEBO) was
with them.
Tommy D has not been around too much, and Jimbo is now living in Florida.

I procured some tickets from
a new website called BuyAnySeat.com to the
Championahip Club at the tournamnet. It is near the 16th hole. Here is a shot from
inside looking out.

Cameras are not allowed on
the course during the actual
rounds. But you can now
bring cell phones in if you
turn the ringers off.
I was reprimanded for taking
pictures with mine. I was told to Delete them. So here are artists renditions of what I saw.

AUGUST 1, 2014 - BRIDGESTONE FIRESTONE GOLF TOURNAMENT

These lovely young ladies were our bartenders out on
the Patio.

I know Amy from the Tap House.
She was upset with me because her eyes were closed. However, I was not
the one who closed them.

One of the reasons we were at The Galaxy again in two
weeks from our last vist was
because JENNA (L), and
DARLA were working inside
at the Sports Bar. Darla was the Employee of The Month of
June at The Galaxy.

Here we have Geezer DRUMSTIR with one of his neighbors, GAYLE in Canal
Fulton. Gayle and her husband
DEWSTER live near him.
They are both also friends of theGeezers.

And here is the "Juice Man",
SPIKE (Swish). He puts tomato
juice in with his beer. He says it helps from him getting headaches.
In Dallas they call it "Red Eye"!

The band for the night was
ELECTRIC MUD. They sounded
great with sharp vocals, and
imatching nstrumentation.
They were missing one member who was stuck in
traffic somewhere, but they
sounded great.

She told us that she recently
renewed her wedding vows
with her husband.

And this is why TRICIA was smiling in the previous pic.

It looked pretty good.

him personally from my chilhood days. Another friend
of mine in Nashville, JIM BOB,

AUGUST 20, 2014 - GNO - LEGENDS SPORTS PUB & GRILLE - GREEN

AUGUST 19 - 26 - DRUMSTIR & FERGIE ANNUAL TRIP TO CLEARWATER, FLORIDA

Last year DRUMSTIR , and FERGIE made a trip down to
Fergie's condo in Florida. Drumstir is thinking of buying in the same complex.
This year they did the same thing.
Here is Fergie having a bite to
eat before their early flight to
Tampa. Notice the drinks.

This is a landscape-type photo.
In other words it was taken far away from the subject.
FERGIE again is the subject.
Drumstir the photog. This is one of our fav hangouts when we are in Florida. The Bahama
Breeze near the airport.

This photo of FERGIE was taken a little closer out on the
patio at the Breeze.
When the Geezers make our
yearly trip to Clearwater Beach this is the first place
that we stop.

A picture of one of the items
the guys oredered from the
menu. It looks like Fish Tacos. and Fantail Shrimp. Yummy!

The two Geezers made their way to the hotel that we like to stay at called Shephard's
Beach Resort.
They have recently made some improvements, one of
which is a new pool that you
can see from this pic.

We like to stay here, and party
here because it is located near the water, and offers many
immenities.
This is a picture of the Tiki
Bar area out on the deck which has also been enhanced.

This is a picture, believe it or not, of what made the whole
trip for the guys worth it.

They found a good deal for
breakfast one day of Western
Omelettes.

And here is the "proof in the
pudding" even though pudding was not included with the meal.

All of that food for the two of
them for only $11.

DRUMSTIR finally turned the camera over to FERGIE. You
notice how much closer this
picture is than the one Drumstir took of Fergie at
Bahama Breeze.

We found Crabby's by accident last year.
We were leaving Hooters in
Clearwater Beach, and some of us were separated from the others. Like Spike and I. We ventured back to Shephard's to watch the Super Bowl The rest walked the beach.

Not far down the road from
Clearwater lies Tarpon Springs
known for their sponge docks, and Greek population.
There is one restaurant in
particular that we go to called
Hellas that includes a bakery.
Here is the Red Velvet Cheescake that Drumstir chose for dessert. Dainty!

She just happened to be in
Cllearwater Beach with her family at the same time the
Geezers were there.

There was a commotion going
on across the road at the beach. Emergency vehicles
were responding to whatever
it was while the Geezers were upstairs with DARLA.

DRUMSTIR was raving about this new drink called Cayman
Jack Margarita. He said that you could only get it in the
Florida area. But it became his life blood. If anyone who might
read this knows of anywhere

That was My (JOEBO) actual
birth date. We were also
celebrating the B-Days of R. B. (GARO) 9/12, and KRISKO
on 9/13.

Here is our bartender for the nite, TRICIA. She goes way back with the Geezers when we first created our website.

This is S. B. (Dougie). He has such a high pressure job, that he is never off duty.
That is unless, he is playing
games on his iPhone.

I guess that he wasn't in much
of a hurry to eat his dinner
since this is a pic of what it
was.

These are FERGIE'S Chicken
Tenders. It was half-off nite
on appetizers so he chose this.
They looked pretty good.

SPIKE (Swish) was eating
healthy. This was his Chef's
Salad until he mixed it altogether.
Yes, there was lettuce under
all of that.

And here was my standard
meal at Legend's. It is a Turkey
Club Wrap with chips. It is
very tasty!

This is an old friend, JOHN CRIST. He is also a friend of one of our Arkansas Geezers,
KEVIN MCMANUS, and Houdini, JOHN FOSS.
It has beena few years since
we have run into him.

OCTOBER 1, 2014 - GNO - THE FIREHOUSE GRILLE & PUB -TALLMADGE CIRCLE

This is what you call a "Frosted Glass" of beer. This is what, one of the bartenders, BRITTANY, served R. B. It would not even sit level on the bar because it was frozen on the bottom. Brittany poured it into another glass once she pried it out of his hand.

big kick out of pouring R. B.'s

But was it Frosted?

The process is almost complete in this picture. Yes,
R. B. did get to drink the beer
that was inside the Frosted
Glass!

Here is my Guinness that I
believe BRITTANY poured
for me (JOEBO).
She just has a way with beer!

I had been to the dentist just
up the street from the Firehouse the day before, and my mouth was still sore.
So I ordered a Ham, Cheese, and Egg Hogie without the bread. Sort of an omlette.
It comes with fries so I asked for mashed potatoes. I got both but only ate the mashed
variety.

This is one of our fave bartenders at Legends, TRICIA. It was a busy nite even tho Ebola rumors
were rampant in the area.

DRUMSTIR. His B-Day was actually Oct 11, but B-Days
never end.
I (JOEBO) bought him 2 $5 Instant Lottery Tcikets, and he won $50 on one, and $20 on the other.

This is the drink that DRUMSTIR bought me for

NOVEMBER 12, 2014 - GNO - LEGENDS SPORTS PUB & GRILLE- GREEN

This is very prophetic. S. B.
(Skinny Boy) has rubbed off
on SPIKE (Swish). As most
of you know S. B. was on the
Killer Diet where he lost 70 pounds.
His meals consisted of what SPIKE ordered to eat. However, S. B. also ordered a Veggie Wrap with
Chickem besides this salad.

Here is our bartender on

TRICIA, who was the #1 Bartender in the Beacon Journal Best contest.

This was my Turkey Club Burger. Another healthy choice. But S. B. questioned the fact that it had Bacon on it.
Hey, it's a Club Burger. Get it?

This was FERGIE'S chocie for the evening. It was a Southwest Wrap with.....
FRIES. Plenty of Fries. Check out the next photo.
He was trying to give them away. No takers.!

Too many Fries. Why do they do this?

S. B. still embibes even though
he has lost 70 pounds.
This happens to look like a
glass of Kentucky Bourbon
Ale, but it wasn't. But it had to be some exclusive ale.
The Skinny Boy drinks nothing but the best!

And it is a pleasure to announce that during our
Geezers Nite Out there was
Breaking News on ESPN that our Ace, Corey Kluber, won
the Cy Young Award for the year 2014. Congratulations
Corey.

OK, back to S. B., as you can see he has been drinking
his ale as he labors (Not Dick)
on his Smart Phone for work
related functions.

Wednesday nite. I made the mistake of going to the
bathroom when I was checking out. TRICIA brought
out the tab when I was in the Mens room.
That's all that our "Class Clown" needed to spring into
action. Thus this meaningless
scribble that R. B. made on it!

There was an unofficial
Retirement Party for Kris
Conley on Friday, Nov 14, at Papa Don's Pub near the
Goodyear Tire & Ruber Co.
Her actual LDW was Nov 7.
Kris is pictured, second from

In this picture are two of the
Geezers who were there,
Spike (Foreground), and R. B.
Next to R. B. is another associate of Krisko's, and Kay
Lucas, a good friend, and
associate of Krisko. Kay sent
out emails to everyone advising them of the event.

S. B. (Dougie) trying to order

hungry. He lost 70 pounds.

gets some kind of Veggie
Plate or something healthy.

Quesadillas) that has some
thar calories in them!

This picture looks innocent
enough, but that wry smile on
R. B.'s face has to tell you
that something was amiss.
It seems the gentleman sitting
across from R. B. went outside for a smoke. R. B. ordered a drink and left the table. The smoker came back, saw R. B.'s drink, and started
to drink it.

When the smoker wasn't looking R. B. pretended he
was trying to drink some of his
original drink that the smoker was drinking. You had to be there!

Here is S. B. modeling his Murse. Nah, it's Krisko's
Purse that she asked him
to hand to her.

We don't know who these
grils were or what they were
celebrating, but they were
wearing some cool hats.
Worthy of a picture.

This is a "No Bake" cookie in the shape of a football that Papa Don's waitresses were
passing out to the customers.
I can't imagine how they are
eatable if you don't bake
them, but they were delicious.

Near the end of the evening
a table made up of Krisko's
associates made a toast in
her honor. I think that was
also a "No-Bake" toast.

NOVEMBER 25, 2014 - GNO - JOHNNY J'S PUB & GRILLE - SPRINGFIELD

This is a Guinness draft beer.
It is a thick malt stout, and
very hard to pour from the
tap. It takes longer for a
bartender to pour it than the other beers on tap.
Our bartender, SARAH, made
what you call the "Perfect Pour"!

This is SARAH, one of our bartenders for the evening.
You may have seen her on
our picture gallery before from
Johnny J's!

Our good freind, and recent
Retiree from the Goodyear
organization, KRISKO, stopped in to say hello. Her drink of choice?
It was a Blue Moon.

We usually meet on a Wednesday nite. But due the the Thanksgiving holiday we
met on a Tuesday nite at
JJ's instead.
On Tuesdays one of the food
Specials is $1 Tacos.
S. B. ordered FOUR of the Soft variety.

These are the hard Tacos that I (JOEBO) ordered. But.....I
only ordered THREE of them.

S. B. usually has a Martini at the end of the evening wherever we meet for GNO.
On Wednesday nites JJ's has
$3 Maritnis. However, one of
the bartenders was making
dirty martinis in front of him
so he just had to have one.

And here is S. B. drinking the one that he ordered.
He said it wasn't Dirty enough!

We ran into a couple who we
know from Goodyear. They are Russ and Pam Hartline. They were surprised to see us since we usually meet on
Wednesdays. We kidded them that maybe we meet every nite! They were going to be leaving for Vegas the next morning.

DECEMBER 3, 2014 - GNO - THE GRILLE ON WATERLOO - SOUTH AKRON

GEEZERS NITE OUT at The
Grille on Waterloo.
This was our bartender, NIKI.
She took good care of us.

Here is FERGIE leading the
group into checking the menu
for the night's dinner of choice.

Here is S. B. sipping on the Glenlivet that I bought him.
It is distilled near Moray,
Scotland. It is the Oldest
LEGAL distillery in the parish
of Glenlivet.
Maybe that's why it cost me
$8!

This is a pic of the Club Wrap
that I ordered at The Grille.
It was very good. All of the
Geezers ate from the Grille's
menu, and I didn't hear any
complaints.

These next four pictrures are hard to explain.
First of all, this is R. B. in
them in case you didn't know.
The Grille has been purchased
by a new owner. and we figure that this is his salute to the new owner. Bravo!

GEEZERS NITE OUT AT LEGENDS
Here is DRUMSTIR finishing up his Quesadillas.

This is DJ Mighty Mike. He has a DJ service where he recruits teams of people to
play agaisnt each other to
answer Trivia Questions.
We were not thrilled with it
because it was LOUD!

While were were sitting there at the bar we were watching
an Ohio State basketball game on TV. They were playing a team by the name of Highland.
OSU destroyed them.

Earlier ESPN broadcasted pictures of both Johnny Manziel, and Brian Hoyer.
They were talking about the up and coming Cleveland Browns game with the Cincinnati Bengals that Manzieel is going to start.

ESPN also broadcasted a picture of BRIAN HOYER,
former Cleveland Browns starter, who has been unseated. He said that he would do anything possible to help Manziel and the Browns to win the game Sunday 12/14.

This is SPIKE'S Chicken Fingers that he ordered from The Legends menu.

My Turkey Club Wrap that I ordered. It was very good.

This time S. B. (Dougie) ordered a Veggie Wrap (W/Chicken), and a side of
Veggies. He graduated from just plain veggies.

This is a glass of a malt Scotch Whiskey called
MACALLAN that S. B. tried out
for the first time.
He drinks Bud Light for most of the nite, but he tops it off with a nightcap of his choice.

RAY'S PLACE is an extension of a popular place in Kent.
I have never been to the Kent location, but this has to be
Ray's on a much larger scale.

This is the Corned Beef sandwich that I ordered along
with a cup of Chili.
Both were very good.

Krisko, who also goes by Kris Kringle, during Christmas
brought her usual tray of cookies.
Sometimes we also go to
the Winking Lizard. In fact the Lizard used to be in the same building.
Krisko also brought cookies for me to take to the Lizard later for Mandy.

Ray's was quiet when we first arrived, but then became crowded with Christmas party goers.
This group held an Ugly Sweater contest.

This was another group of Christmas work party goers.
They exchanged gifts and talked about things that they would discuss the next day at work in a different light.

Health Nut, and former Summu wrestler, S. B. (Dougie) ordered a "small" Grecian salad. It was piled high with greens, and topped with a lot
of Gyro meat. A lot of Gyro meat!

While we were there the Cleveland Cavaliers were on
TV at home (Cleveland), but it didn't make a difference. The
team that they were playing,
the Atlanta Hawks, buried them, and LeBron 127-98.

This is totally unbelievable. Not
the meal, which was a tasty meatloaf dinner, but the fact
that, skinny as a rail, Billy Bob, ate the whole thing.
There was a lot there.

DECEMBER 24, 2014 - THE GRILLE ON WATERLOO - ANNUAL GEEZERS CHRISTMAS EVE DAY CELEBRATION AND GIFT EXCHANGE

The Geezers have been meeting on Christmas Eve Day
even before we were Geezers.
For the last few years we
have been meeting at the
Grille, formerly the Tap House.

This is S. B.'s Dirty Martini
made for him by Kristi, one of
our fave bartenders.

And here is S. B. drinking it.
He said that it was one of the best Dirty Martinis that he has
ever had.

Here are some of The Geezers who were there.

Billy Bob (Also on his iPhone).
Spike (Swish), and I were also
there.

Speaking of Spike, here is his
drink of chocie. A beer (Miller 64), and Campbell's tomatoe
juice. In some circles it is
known as Red Eye, escpecially in the Southwest.

Speaking of the southwest
here are my Buffalo Balls.
They are meatballs soaked
in wing sauce.
Russ, former owner here,
introduced these when he opened a Scorchers many years ago. Then they disappeared. They are back....
for now!

This is a couple who were sitting at the bar. They saw the
Geezers taking pictures and I
asked them if they wanted me to take one of them. They said
yes, so here it is. I hope they
check the website.

This is a memorable photo of

For years I have been trying
to take a picture of her, but
she would never let me.
However, this time she relented, but only if I was in the picture with her. A small
price to pay.

DECEMBER 31, 2014 - THE GEEZERS ANNUAL NEW YEARS EVE DAY MEETING - THE GALAXY -WADSWORTH

The Geezers have been meeting on Christmas Eve Day, and New year's Eve Day for as long as we can remember.
Even before we were Geezers.
On this day we met at The
Galaxy in Wadsworth.
This was our bartender
Brittany. We will probably
be back there next New Year's Eve Day.

Most of us ate brunch there as we met around 1:00 PM.
I don't remember what everyone else had, but
this was my Starburger.
I always order Double Pickle.
